Those tests hurt your self esteem when you do poorly on them, after spending money on study aids.

Standardized tests test only a narrow segment, the ability to conform to a direction and find patterns of the same error over and over again. Often the standarized tests sport old fashioned styles, certainly obsolete way of speaking currently. Standardized test are stupid in the fact that they test a limited range of "skills" and relegating other skills to secondary class.
