There's deception in Christianity, but only because some people do not use common sense when they read the Bible & also because people do not do their own research; they instead just agree with what their pastor, deacon, bishop, father, priest, etc... tell them the Bible says.

& really, when you think about it that sort of behavior will introduce any teaching to deception. Be it a Faith, a college course, or whatever.
