The may be a biological reason for the occurance of Transexuality and Transexualism [in males], KLIENFELTER SYNDROME -according to Wikipedia- is a condition in which human males have an extra X chromosome. While females have an XX chromosomal makeup, and males an XY, affected individuals have at least two X chromosomes and at least one Y chromosome.[1] Because of the extra chromosome, individuals with the condition are usually referred to as "XXY Males", or "47, XXY Males".[2] (i.e. fem dudes).
@abk702 I don't thoroughly understand transgender [either] but to each is own! Btw, being transgender does not guarantee the individual is mentally unstable. A requirement for Gender Reassignment Surgery is ongoing psychotherapy to "work things out" and to ensure the candidate is stable and is prepared to be transsexual and deal with people like us who interpret gender as binary and fixed solely on genitalia. Face it, we all know people embody many characteristics of the opposite gender.
@abk702 Yeah...thats why I said, "assuming I didn't know", and also pointed out that the Idea of it "kinda weirds me out". I thought I was pretty clear. Not that there would be anything wrong with it, nor would I be offended if you thought I WAS a "fag" because I did decide to hit it with someone like that....because I see nothing wrong with being a "fag" . I am simply not. Therefore I wouldn't do it 'cause...as I said...it would weird me out too much. I'd happily admit it though if I was one.
@abk702 Damn....your standards must be a Hell of a lot higher than mine! LMAO!!! I mean, I am a straight guy, and the thought of being with a woman who was once a man, kinda weirds me out.....Not saying that as a judgmental statement....I dont have a problem with it which is obvious from my other posts, none the less I am still straight, so the I'd feel weird about getting with a girl who was once a guy... but assuming I didnt know about C.Cossey's past manliness....Hell Yeah I'd hit that! LOL
@abk702 "would it be right?" Well please tell me why exactly it would be wrong?! As for your statement "like a lot of the ones who did cross that line and go that way" looking mutated, I would ask you the obvious question...what of the ones that DONT look mutated? For insance what of Barry Kenneth Cossey AKA Caroline Cossey ? Caroline was actually a Bond Girl! Now thats what I call a successful surgery! LOL! I don't think then that them turning out like a "mutant" is a very viable arguement.
@frankensteinmoneymac Its just someone who needs a lot of psychiatric help. Lets put it this way lets take a dwarf that always wanted to be 7ft tall. If there was a surgery to extend his legs to be able to reach that height would it be right? What do you think the outcome would be if that little one were to get his dream? Im guessing he would just look like a really mutated dwarf. Like a lot of the ones who did cross that line and go that way
@abk702 I understand your reasoning, of course. Still something like 'Dolphin re-alignment surgery' exists only in South Park toons! :) However if it DID exist then who would we be to tell someone that they could not go through with it? Gender Re-alignment surgery may not make sense to you or me...but then again we were not born with the same gender issues that these people obviously have. That doesn't mean their desire is wrong or "confused" any more so than some1 with a birth defect's is
@frankensteinmoneymac Im not really one for cosmetic surgery in anyway, but its really whatever you want todo. However with gender reassignment I think that's the most drastic surgery one could go with. If I thought I should have been born a dolphin at birth should I go find a surgeon to help me turn into one?
