From a play by Maurice Shadbolt, the reconstruction of the historical attack by the New Zealanders Anzacs to Chunuk Bair hill, on the 8 Aug 1915, during the Gallipoli campaign. Out of the 760 men of the Wellington regiment, 711 were casualties, dead or wounded.

Kind of sad that a few days after the Kiwis took Chunuk Bair the Turks retook it and the land around it. They would hold it until the Allies evacuated.
