Food for thought: You live next door to a nice guy, then you slap a badge on him and he becomes a tyrant. Why?

Excellent! Thank you.

I'm with coolbeenz. We do need to WAKE UP. Your conclusions and questions are so logically arrived at that I can't help but think that you'd be a big asset to any progressive news organization. Thanks again, I'm a fan!

Hey Suz, this is amazing work you have done. Very informative and very scarey at how the authorities treat americans like sheep. That is bullshit !! We all need to wake up and get real. PS- You are a smokin hottie, love you ~ Genie Long (Piddington)

Thank you to everyone who has commented so far. I'll be doing some interviews also film the area I'm talking about. I won't be editing the interviews like the newspapers and magazines. My purpose here is not to get people fired but for good and logical decisions to be made at the time of these disasters. The egos need to go. The focus should have been on the best way to put out the fire. Period. It's pathetic an 80 yr-old still had to show them how it's done and that it could be done.

You can get the sheriffs fired or elect and new one.
Also I would like to see what the burned area looks like now and one year from now.

Yes - very true. I read an article by Kenny Wright, Big Sur's retired CHP and now owner of Glen Oaks Motel, and he said the same thing. DO NOT RE-ELECT. He witnessed and experienced the same outrageous treatment. Thanks for commenting.

I also live in a small town here in Calif. we only have one deputy and he is just ok. But he does not patrol all of his area and this created a law less area in certain places.
The town called a meeting and invited the head sheriff. He heard the problems first hand and took quick action to fix them. We are much better off now then 1 month ago. still have the same deputy but he has help and has to work harder.

Good example. No doubt people aren't perfect and challenges arise or conditions change, so it's great when a problem can be recognized and a solution found. That's what should have happened in Big Sur, and I'm rallying to happen in future disasters.
