We preached at the Richmond Christmas parade and I really didn't have any problems until after the parade started.... I was asking some Shriners some questions about their religion and evidently someone was offended by my 'content' and complained to the police.... they made it very clear that it was the content and not the fact that I was speaking that was the problem....

  • Courts ruled in our favor..... can't disclose details but I can say it was 'favorable' :-)

  • grampie09 I removed your comment as you couldn't post w/out cussing?.... but the ironic thing is that you sent a very hate filled message saying that I was hate filled? hmm... it's obvious you do not understand the Gospel is not a message of 'hate' it is a message of 'hope and love'.... that is, that mankind who has violated God's law (like lying, stealing, looking w/ lust and using God's name as curse word ect) can be made right w/ God through Christ's suffering, death and resurrection...

  • A bit of a silly video. The problem here is that both sides are legally inacurate and have misguided knowledge of the law. This case would not be allowed to be filed and would be beaten with a demurrer, however, the cop also was wrong for her rational but so was the "preacher" sort of fun when both parties are inacurate. The preacher does not understand that the cop was not stepping on his first amendment rights, yet the cop was also wrong as to her explanation.

  • The courts will decide... and yes the officer was 'stepping on' my first ammendment rights.... you make the claim that I am inacurate... please do tell, what did I say that was 'inacuate'?

  • The Cops were right in this one. No doubt about it.

  • The courts will decide.... I'll keep you posted... meeting w/ the attorny today to review the case one last time before filing...

  • Coercion, manipulation and police action against citizens for speaking does not fall under freedom of speech. It falls under tyranny, fear mongering and conscription. The first amendment was drawn together because of the consequences the crown forced upon the people for speaking out against the crown, for dissent. The first amendment was written with the understanding that a free man should be free to speak his mind without consequence even in dissent.

  • @monkeyboynathan u won your case?

  • @monkeyboynathan u won your case?

  • I would have told that cop that if a muslim was preaching or an athiest or a hindu or anyone other than a Christian was preaching, they would have never called it disturbance or anything else. Every false religion gets a free pass in the USA but not Christians. Thats because it is politically correct to champion everything but Christian. Hmmm? WHat does that tell you?

  • the big guy next to her looks like fred gwen who played herman munster. sounds like hes from new york

  • angela green is fine.

  • @mi6QBranch

Yes. you would have a right to stand out in front of the church on a public sidewalk

and verbally explain anything you wish. That is the honor of the 1st Amendment.

Freedom of Speech. Isn't this wonderful that you can say what you want?

  • i definitely agreee with the person who said let the ppl just enjoy their xmas parade... its so many cases that never go to court that r IMPORTANT, but b cuz of funding it never makes it there and ppl talk about wasted time and taxpayer's dollars.. i mean come on, a loud speaker? it seems u went to the parade with the intent to disturb the peace, but thats right money does rule with greedy capitalist ppl.... but noone should be offended by this.. freedom of speech right? lol.. pathetic

  • I'm glad that things turned out favorable. I hope you didn't make any concessions.
