Being a scientist is the most boring, tedious, humiliating (since you need to constantly "beg" for government money), and horrible job. I should know, I'm a scientist. If you have children, don't let them become scientists. If you are a scientist your work begins to consume every aspect of your life. Having a family is very difficult. You don't get paid enough and you don't have the time. This explains why scientists have fewer children on average.
