@sykeo123 Perhaps you should consider taking a course in American Sign Language. Had I interpreted the Pledge of Allegiance literally, it would not have made sense. For instance, if I had interpreted "for which it stands" by using the sign for "stand," as in to stand on two feet, would that have effectively communicated the purpose of the Pledge? No, it wouldn't have. That's why I used the sign "represent." I provided the ASL gloss to show that ASL is not signed English but a distinct language.

My third grade teacher taught me this I forgot it but now you got my reminded! :)

Could you do this step by step? I'm a dumbie :)

@adrienie that is the wrong way to express your feelings

Thank you @Adrienie. You did it well, and yes, since you actually know about ASL unlike others you know what are you signing about. And @Sykeo123, I don't hate very many people but I really despise you. You are dispicable and disgusting. A real jerk. You said she got the Pledge wrong, but YOU, using WRITTEN ENGLISH still got it wrong! Imbecile!

Thank you so much for this video. It really helped that you broke your signs down. Don't worry about people who want to literally interpret the pledge. If they knew ASL they would know that you don't interpret the exact words because it would make NO Sense to a deaf person. Thank You. Great Job.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
That is the real pledge .....
What ever you wish to say in trailer park creek doesn't matter.
The insults and swearing is justified by your ignorance.
Thank you for posting this. =) This is the pledge I remember learning when I was young, and I'm trying to reteach myself again before I move on to the more formal one. I appreciate it. =) I feel bad for those who don't understand the difference between ASL and English.

Hello? What is the matter with you guys? Adrienie, I see nothing wrong with your ASL. It is ASL guys, which is a separate language with separate word order, grammar, syntax, etc... The bottom captions is just the literal meaning of the signs all by themselves, the top captions were the "real pledge." Plus, if you had the speakers on, you would've heard her say it correctly.
