Your a smart ass...They damn sure taste like lobster and they are commonly called slipper lobster, bulldozers, or shovelnose lobster.

I think this may also be called a Balmain bug in Australia. Can anyone verify this?

@solufane Several slipper lobster species are fished commercially in Australia. This one, Ibacus peronii, is indeed known as Balmain bugs. Other species, Ibacus alticrenatus and Thenus orientalis, are usually called Moreton Bay bugs.
People are slipshod in distinguishing between them, though. I've seen each Ibacus species sold both as as Balmain bugs and as Moreton Bay bugs.
