i had this red screen thing ,i tried every solution ,and it didnt work ,so i just took harddrive out and put new one ,installed firmware ,and it works fine

i just got the RSOD just a few minutes ago so i tried booting up a few times after that and still got the RSOD so i flipped the main power switch unplugged everything then plugged everything back in and now its working just fine...but now that i got the ps3 turned off, now I'm somewhat afraid to turn it back on haha...

@ownd785 its free if you have the warranty if you dont its gonna be $100 if you live in the U.S. From what i heard it takes 2 months till you get your playstation back =/

fix it for free...BULL SH*T!!...they said "you will need 2 send us your playstation...whats your credit card number so we can charge the repairs to your card" thats nearly word for word what the lady told me.
