CHU GAR MANTIS 1989 HA SIFU - 5 MANTIDS DESCEND MOUNTAIN

1989, Hong Kong, Ha Sifu.

This form is "FIVE MANTIDS DESCENDING THE MOUNTAIN LIKE A TIGER".

Ha Sifu is third generation lineage from Lao Sui. From Chu Kwong Hua to Cheng wan Sifu who is 85 in 2009.

This form is a "san sao" "shadow boxing" set against multiple opponents. It was developed by Cheng Wan Sifu.

Lao Sui was first buried at Ho Mun Tin in Hong Kong.

The son of Lao Sui, Lao Chun Hung, (and a student of Lum Wan who was a Quarry Tycoon) gave the money to relocate Lao Sui's bones in his first grave to the area Fu Shan Do.

In Hakka dialect, Chu and Chow are pronounced the same but written differently. Lao Sui's second grave was mistakenly written as Chow Gar.

Long since, a new gravestone has replaced the one which was written with "Chow Gar." And the grave remains private today.

Every year, for the last 35 years, hundreds of people have Internationally gathered in Hong Kong to celebrate Lao Sui's Chu Gar Mantis.
