Good question? This exercise is basically a moving Plank exercise. By adding in the movement it puts more stress and tension on the core musculature. This would be a progresssion from the standard non-moving plank exercise. Give it a try. I usually prescribe 8 to 10 reps. Top of mat is 1 reps then back to bottom is 2 reps. Enjoy!
