Youth of the Nation by P.O.D. I choose to do this song because it has alot of variations in the bass drum and I love the ride cymbal part. This is also a great song. I am getting annoyed it seems like my hihats are the most dominant sound in alot of my covers so if you know a way to even out the sound please tell me. Please enjoy and check out my other videos.

  • You can take the volume of the high hat down with an EQ or by using mics on your other drums. I use a sound editing program to edit the sound on my covers. Allows me to EQ, compress etc, the other suggestion I would have would be to play with the position of whichever mic(s) you are using. There are a lot of videos on here on how to position mics for recording etc. Check out my drum covers if you like, my cymbals are all really cheap, but sound decent due to EQ and mic placement.
