@ammosmith Just shooting the same loading for my revolver out of a longer rifle length barrel will get an extra 200-400fps. Is there a change in mix of the bullet or lube that would make it any less of a leading or safety problem? Or do I just need to go to gas checks or jacketed bullets? Or decrease the charge? Thanks.

@spritrocks Check what the OAL should be for the Marlin. You have some latitude on seating depth.

Thanks ammosmith I was thinking about buying the 300 grain swc mold from Lyman but not sure if it would cycle thru my marlin lever action in 44 mag

I'll spray them win WD40 and store in a steel ammo can. Then I'll decrease it with acetone or boil I in soapy water then cast again.

In this and your other videos you say your getting 1500fps out of your 10in barrel with is 240gr Lyman 429421 bullet without leading with your lube. If I were to get another 300-400fps from a 20in Marlin rifle barrel, would I get leading in your opinion. Would you change the lube mixture? How? Any other recommendations? Thanks.

Would seating the bullet deeper cause more pressure?I heard some semi-wad cutters won't cycle as good in lever guns

@spritrocks Yes pressure does go up so you'll need to reduce the load and work up again. See if you can get a slug and make a dummy so you can action proof test it.
