I had a few requests to make a video on my wash routine for cloth nappies. I didn't give enough info in the video so please ask questions if you need.

  • Can you do a review on your different nappies you've bought?

I'm still not sure what brands to buy and whether I go for more from America or Australian...The prices and quality are something of concern to me. I can't afford $25-$30 a nappy :P

  • @Trinette75

I know, how crazy that they can charge that much for 1 nappy. I will try and do reviews for you, I have gotton rid of some lately though. Hey are you a member of MCN group on Facebook, there are about 2000 members and everyone sells their second hand nappies, so you can try diff brands a lot cheaper.

  • @Trinette75 Its great, i have sold quite a few nappies on there and also bought quite a few nappies off there. They are having a "random Act of Kindness" day in a week where people give away nappies, you just have to send them a prepaid post bag.

  • its called buy and sell your MCN's (modern cloth nappies) on Facebook

  • Hi! Fellow Aussie mum here. Question about using Purity Laundry liquid...Do your nappies get a build-up from using a liquid? I have a baby due in 3 weeks and I'm a first time cloth nappier. I bought all my nappies from ebay (Coolababy) and some from Nikki's Diapers in America (Best Bottoms). Americans swear by Rockin Green Laundry powder. I bought some samples to try and I have a box of "Tiny Bubble" on the way too.

  • @Trinette75

No i don't notice a build up on my nappies with that detergent (but i only use a small amount too), i don't always use it though. I use soap nuts too. I have also had a sample of rockin green and done a soak and the nappies cam up great, it just seems a little expensive in my opinion but i think i may get some and just use it for a soak once a month.

    Where you from in Aussie?

  • What brand of storage bins are those that you have in your closet and where did you purchase them if you can remember? Also, are you still using that system for storage. I have limited space and with baby #3 coming soon I am trying to figure out where to put everything and what you have seems like it would work out great! The bins seem to be very sturdy plus I like the colors. Thanks

  • @TheGraceDiaries

Hey thanks for the tip...i'm gonna check em out :D

  • @TheGraceDiaries

Yeah I have seen the soap nuts online.

I usually research EVERYTHING for price, review and quality before I buy.

lol I even took a week of searching for an eye dropper for tea tree oil, before I came to a decision on the best value....I know, a little overboard huh.

We are on the Gold Coast :)

  • Oh and Lacey wees HUGE amounts at night, she wore a BBH night nappy and in 3 hours it was soaked.
