@2000blackthorns duh that was pretty much all sarcasm i dont need to be told why we were in iraq and iraq being a secular autocracy when we invaded wasnt so much about religion as it was diffusing a regional threat and gaining a stable pro-western foothold in the region. trust me i was there most of the true jihadis that came for the purpose of jihad came from places like iran and lybia and other states around iraq thats why there was the inital cooloff between the invasion and fallaujah

I think the worst thing about war is that people forget they're being trained to kill other people. Generally we put those people behind bars and call em murderers. But if you put them in a uniform, and slap a flag across their backs they become heroes? Go figure.

My father's in the military. I haven't seen him in years, and while I may not support war, I see the neccesity of it in certain instances. The retaliation for terrorist actions is one such instance, but when the war has raged for almost a decade and absolutely no progress has been made against Al Qaeda, I'd much rather have my father, one of the men who didn't die in those towers, back home with me rather than across the globe.
