Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs.

You do not have to walk all 10,000 steps (about 1 hour) at once. I break up mine 10 minutes each walk throughout the day...and the results are the same. Weight is falling off!!!

I find having a pedometer makes me want to walk more. Seeing how many steps I've taken is motivating...it just makes me want to walk more! It's a game for me now to see if I can beat my steps from the day before. I'm always increasing the amount of steps I take.....and believe it or not, it's really fun!

Park further away from intended destination.

Hey. I'm sure i'll just be another person reponding but i watched your video yesterday and before i went to work i bought a pedometer. At the end of the night, I had walked 6,243 steps which was equivalent to 2.715 miles and burned 171 calories. That was just the walking! So thank you for your inspiration.

10,000 steps a day in just 3 hours with a TrekDesk Treadmill Desk. Walk while you work.

Good video! And, adding a pair of shoes that tone and burn calories will help you get there faster. Check out the link on my Channel.

kbonez2, that's really funny how you asked that question---I cracked up. I always wear my pedometer and am always b/t 8,000 and 13,000 calories per day. It never makes me lose weight, but it helps in not gaining weight.

this is really cliche, but I suggest walking your stairs instead of taking the elevator....

On a cold winter day I can easily manage 25000 steps per day without much effort through a combination of exercise and daily life, but in the summer I stuggle to make it to 10000 because I get so hot and thirsty. :(
I genuinely do enjoy it though. Walking briskly gives me a 'high', my limbs feel loose like I've had a massage and I feel more alert.
Boredom is a major factor in whether you'll fail or succeed. It's amazing what a difference listening to some good music can make.
Good luck!
Hey Sarah, if we walk over to our co-workers desk do we have to Power Walk the way you did, or can we just kinda saunter over?

Haha, you can saunter. I was in an extra hyper mood the day we filmed!
