APPA-39MR Clamp MetersClamp meters are designed for non-contact measurement of current without interrupting power supply to consumers. In measuring current the probes of a clamp meter, which have ferrite cores mounted into them, grasp the conductor while remaining entirely isolated from the exposed part of the wire. Depending on modifications, such clamp meters can measure both, AC and DC current.As you know, one of the most important parameters of any measurement instrument is its universality - that is capability to measure several physical quantities (this is also often referred to as functionality or capability to perform several functions). These APPA-39MR clamp meters are a good example of such universal device. This apparatus can be used to measure alternating and direct current, AC and DC voltage, DC resistance and frequency.From the consumers standpoint, these functions are sufficient for most the measurement conducted on an electrified object. The additional functions available on this device allow the user to register peak readings (PEAK HOLD button) and automatically zero the device when measuring direct current (this is done using DCA ZERO button).
