@petejuggling sounds like something is catching in the knee, be it a tendon, ligament or cartlidge.
See a Doctor/Physio, not something that can or should be diagnosed over youtube, that comes after you diagnosis

Hi Rick,
I have a clicking/popping in my right leg. I've had it for awhile now but have never gotten it looked at. I've just avoided doing squats. Recently it's been getting louder and it pops when doing leg extensions. It doesn't really hurt but I'm worried about getting injured because of it. Especially now that my knee pops when switching pedals while driving.
How often should I do this exercise? When will the popping go away?
