RoF - Carpet Bombing

I took a quick flight in RoF and as I was cruising around in my lovely Bristol F2B I noticed an enemy train making a run with some undisclosed cargo so I diverted from my flight path to have a closer look.

Upon inspection from "on high" I noticed and enemy vehicle in tow, with fuel, and what appeared to be ammo loaded on the train. As we turned into and over the train I also noticed two transport trucks loaded and getting ready to depart so we targeted them as well.

I unloaded my entire payload so as to make sure we did not miss. After impact, my suspicions were confirmed that they were carrying ammo because the secondary explosions were just magnificent!

So basically what I'm trying to convey is...I just fired up RoF and had a blast as I Obliterated an enemy Train. It was spectacular looking and I just wanted to capture it & share it!

Explosions are in-game? Or did you used VideoFX, like Action essentials (VideoCopilot)

Well, yes and no. There are in game explosions, but I also added/enhanced them with some explosion effects I created from a video "toolkit" I have. While I love RoF, I find the explosion effects a bit weak, good, but weak so I just wanted to experiment with how I wished they would look like.

I'm sure, one day soon, we will see more life like explosions & secondary explosions in Flight sims like we see in other FPS games. Until then, I will just have fun making some up.

Aah ok, what kind of 'toolkit' is it, self created? Or can I get acces to it also? I've got Action Essentials 720k from VideoCopilot, and I'm working with it inside a project. Result will be online soon, I hope :)

One suggestion ....... shorten the ending with just the image and sound track ....... I feel that most people will not sit through the same image for a period of time .... But still, as I mentioned above, very nice ...

thx, I agree. I hate having to put a picture at the end of my vids, but since I'm not a partner on youtube, I do so to generate a thumbnail that is more appealing that the auto pic that gets selected by youtube. I will add a note so that people wont sit thru that part.
