Eliza's Flight

In the book, Uncle Tom's Cabin, one of the characters, Eliza (Vannia), must cross the Mississippi in order to escape a slave catcher (Chanda, cant recognize her can you??). This scene is the book is symbolically significant because it represents how Eliza is able to escape the evil clutches of slavery and how good shall prevail over evil because she somehow crosses the river on foot. or something like that... i dont like to look back at junior year remembering the horrible time i had getting C's and whatnots...
