@JoeSippingTea So typical of jazz musicians... Does it matter why they are enjoying the piece? House played this piece on the show as House not Hugh Laurie. It's people like YOU that are the reason jazz struggles to get any shine in society. You have to elevate yourself above the casual listener and make them out to be ignorant. So what if they don't know every jazz song ever recorded? Who cares if you do? Let them enjoy the music with out your condescension. Thanks. And I AM a Jazz pianist.

this episode was my all time favorite.

Hugh Laurie is a talented actor and sketch comic. He plays the piano for fun.
Oscar Peterson is a talented jazz pianist. He wins grammys for fun.
Get it right, people.

I guess they weren't born yet, now, were they? :)

@gammaray0wn We jazz pianists refer to him as oxar
-
@RandyNewmanFan I think you mean Oscar Peterson?
-
If u want a good version of this song, look up OXAR PETERSON, (He wrote it)

@crazypianolady They are the same people infesting youtube with comments such as "I love Hugh!!!". Where were they when he was just a fresh-face, normally-walking, talentuous actor in England?
Ridiculous.
-
@crazypianolady Nah, I don't think so. This piece is appreciated here just because "oh my god, it is House playing piano! Isn't it the most wonderful piano piece ever played?", and they had hardly listened to a jazz piece in full before. Most of thees people are so ignorant they can't even tell an acotr from his character, and they go strolling about the web calling Laurie "House".
