The TV print of Weird Science contains many audio edits to remove the raunchy language of the PG-13 original.

Apparently we cannot handle hearing words like "bang", "studs", "chains", or "freak" on regular TV.

Afterwards, I've included two scenes that only exist in the TV print.

  • @GregOBehave I know rite yippee ki yay ******fucker thats funny i love British movies like Bullet Boy alot ppl call it The British version of Boyz in the hood

  • @colossus112785 - Now that's dumb.

  • @tylerdurden3891 - I think they did. Definitely sounds like Anthony Michael Hall when he's doing the african American impersonation. The other lines might sound odd because the words come from a different take or just one word being said on a microphone. It sounds odd.

  • @GregOBehave Like on certain networks here like after 9pm it just has tagline say "mature audiences only'' but anyway also i know u guys say the word wanker over there when Lisa calls Chet a wanker insted she calls him a weasel i said to myself WTF i bet ppl in The UK think we crazy or something also when my home was living in Canada he told he was watching Die Hard u know when Bruce Wills says yippee ki yay motherfucker insted they just bleeped mother and kept fucker lol

  • @colossus112785 - Interesting, I don't think ever seen that scene, unless it's on a dvd, in which case I probably have seen it and don't remember.'lol And dubbing over the words stud and malika is censorship gone crazy. Are they showing the film to 6 year olds or what?! If you're gonna show a film with an adult content, just show it after 9pm. Or doesn't work like that over there?

  • @GregOBehave cuz on the US tv version they show Gary & Wyatt in the kitchen talking about The Bride of Frankenstein in the theatricial version they didnt show that i have the dvd and i dont like when they overdub certian like stud & malika whats wrong with dat?

  • @colossus112785 - when you asked me did the uk tv version have the deleted scenes or did you actually mean deleted scenes, or something else? Because yes, our old 80s televised films used to have certain words dubbed over, but no way near as many as yours! We had shit and fuck dubbed over, but that's it really. And if it was broadcast at night there would be no censorship.

  • @GregOBehave Wow lol on the tv version here they edit alot of nensense shit like "stud" "boom" "malika" "fart" just nonsense shit lol

  • @colossus112785 - I've seen the film on uk tva few times growing up and I don't recall anything extra. And of course now days they show dvd prints on tv so I wouldn't be able to say anyway.

  • @GregOBehave on The Uk tv version did they show deleted scenes?
