250 Million People x $35 a month = $8.5 Billion / month. Case Closed. Their hiding behind Corporations and Bail-outs so they can cash-in off Wall Street. Hospitals are over-charging. Insurance Companies (Stock Exchange Banks) are the reason why the System is Failing. Fed-Ex is the reason why were laying off Government Postal Employees working decent stable jobs.

power to the people dont let the federal government tell us whats right and whats wrong !! Let the general public decide

@cliffyknight It would only make health care better for most Americans (have a single-payer system) it would be MUCH better than a for-profit one - health care is a basic human right! If you disagree with that - what the hell are you? The majority of first world countries have better health care systems than America's! And America's health care system is NOT the envy of the world !
-
maybe it is really stupid to have the system you have to begin with ! A single-payer system is by far the best for a nation as a whole - there's a reason MANY 1st world countries have a more highly rated health care system than America does

@Nickk361 maybe then the wealhty can do their SHARE in America for the first time in nearly a decade - that would go a huge way to solving that problem!

you make me sad, hopefully youll always be able to afford your health insurance ,and remember if they find out your sick, you aint going to get insured, at least in cuba there is a second to none health system, cubas poverty stems from the american sanctions imposed on it,very fair indeed, access to health service is a human right ..how can it not be,

Obama is on tape promoting a single payer plan to SEIU, bug fucking Marxist puke.

@andrewkenworthy You may be happier in Cuba.
Medicare is already underfunded and the administration is going to cut benefits to fund a government insurance program for everyone. Once they are successful in putting private insurers out of business through deficit spending underwritten by the Fed money machine, then it will be too late to understand the real cost of this program.
