Have you ever wondered how to use the Forgot Password control in Visual Web Developer?
In this tutorial i will show you guys how to use it and it consists of configuring the SMTP settings in ASP.NET.
Have your ASP.NET websites hosted at Arvixe for as little as $5 a month with unlimited space http://www.arvixe.com/894.html

  • Thanks I will try to implement this feature and get back to you.

  • @alecfsx I sorted it in the end. This was a couple of months ago though, so I couldn't tell you how. If you are stuck, I can work out how I worked it out...?

  • @mrwhit8 Same problem for me.....

  • hi. I don't understand what i have to put in "server name" (minute 4:02).

i put my email but when i run my website i have an error with the server name

    thanks

  • I'm following this exactly and when I trial some SMTP settings using my own private email @mail.com (smtp.mail.com), I get a whole load of error text starting with:

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 74.208.122.35:25

I watched "hilo_membership-roles_final" and that video suggests using "exchange01" as SMTP, and Authentication 'none'.

  • wow dude thanks

    that was very easy

    asp.net owns PHP
