Marty Friedman - Time To Say Goodbye+Thunder March (feat. Yossi Saharon) [LIVE in Israel, 05.31.11]

The well-acclaimed virtuoso guitarist and musician, Marty Friedman, former Megadeth and Cacophony member, in his second gig in Israel as a solo artist, accompanied by a great unit of sharp instrumentalists from Japan, in which he currently resides for the last decade. Marty's band consists of Takayoshi Ohmura on second guitar, Ryota Yoshinari on bass and Mitsuru Fujisawa on drums.
The event took place at the 31th of May, at the Reading club, Tel-Aviv.

During the last tour, Marty embraced the tradition of hosting a local guitarist near the end of the show.
In the video, Marty hosts Yossi Sa'aron (Sassi), the guitarist of the infamous local Middle-Eastern Metal band, Orphaned Land, which is currently the most successful Israeli Metal Band, spinning 20 years of activity, 4 Full-Length albums, and a lot of fans worldwide, especially in arab countries.

The duo an perfoems a short oriental version of the Classical Crossover song of Andrea Bocelli, "Time to Say Goodbye" (with Yossi playing Boozoki). The song was actually the english version of "Con te partirò" (literally meaning "With you I will leave"), originally written by written by Francesco Sartori (music) and Lucio Quarantotto (lyrics). The english version featured English soprano Sarah Brightman, and became a huge hit in Europe during the mid-nineties.

Later on, after a short pause, the whole band including Yossi (this time on guitar) kicks back in with "Thunder March", the most well-known song of Marty's solo career that traditionally appeares in each an every show, taken from his debut, "Dragon's Kiss", that was released back in 1988.
