Sorry, doesn't clear up why this video doesn't show as 1080p in FireFox even though FireFox can show other videos like hikotalk's in 1080p.

It probably has to with video card and monitor capabilities. Youtube probably detects it beforehand and checks wether to give the option or not.

Im opened it in Firefox (3.5.5) on Linux and it shows the 1080p option lol I think it has to do with your IP causing you to be redirected to a local (japan obviously) google cache.

I got the DROID (its an android phone by Motorola for Verizon!) and the video looks great but the sound quality is horrible for this video lol

thats really odd I just checked again o_O and its there this little arrow once I hover over it I get the two resolution options.. but I dont get these on every HD video sometimes its there sometimes its not maybe youtube does that randomly at the moment !? Maybe you broke youtube again or found another youtube mystery what the ... this site.

Both machines in my case are Windows XP. It would be very strange if that made a difference though.

Hum thats weird, I have Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5 running on Win7 and Mac OSX Snow Leopard and I can choose both 720p and 1080p on your video here.

Will also make a test vid with my HG20 direct upload without encoding lets see what will happen..

Yeah YouTube seems to have fixed the sound sync problems I had on my purple backhoe video. However FireFox is still the only browser I have that won't let me view this video in 1080p. Only 720p. But Safari, MSIE, and Chrome all give me a choice between 720p 1080p. OTOH, Firefox let's me choose either 720p or 1080p in both of hikotalk's video responses. Weird.

Underground music scene in most of Japan is put together so everyone can get around by train. Drummers usually carry a snare, sticks, and kick pedal, and that's it. Very few bands can afford to park let alone drive everywhere. If custom drums require vans or cars, then that's the limiting factor right there.

On a side note, I've noticed the whole custom drum craze hasn't really taken off in Japan...yet....have you seen any?

Not a big fan of them myself....they aren't worth the money imo.
