@Humorgous This is a common misunderstanding. lostinshangrila used the title "Type 2", not "T2". The first series of a Volks-Wagen, a car for people, was the beetle, so it was called "Type 1". Then VW created a second type, the transporter, called "Type 2". The Type 2 includes transporter series 1 (T1), transporter series 2 (T2), up to the recent series 5 (T5).
