  • The narrator sounds horny

  • part two of my comment: I meant 11,500 AU. It would seem to me that Alpha Centauri would have something like the Oort Cloud too, extending towards us three light years, so when we pass ours, we could use that of Alpha Cenatauri. So all things are covered.

  • Part four of my comment: It is good work, and represents a school of space technology. Of course the other school in the Orion nuclear pulse propulsion system among many others that exist, all of which you have addressed. I would do nothing but encourage you to work on this idea, dreams are made possible by believing in yourself, and the book and movie look great.

  • part three: One thing to take into consideration is that even though we can reach 10% the speed of light with current technology, as you have said, keep in mind it probably takes months to years to accelerate to that. So when you refuel, you have to spend much time decelerating to dock with a comet, then spend much time accelerating after leaving that comet, to reach the ten percent of light speed again. Just contemplating the idea.

  • part one of my comment: If the Oort cloud exists, and as you say, they say it could extend 3 light years beyond the Sun, then that leaves a little over a light year of empty space to Alpha Centauri, which is a little over 4 light years away. However, you suggest we may find with new technologies that it extends beyond Alpha Centauri because solar gravity reaches beyond it and we just don't know because the Ahad Radius shows we can't detect things beyond 11,500 light years.

  • Looks promising, i can't wait
