Isn't it ironic that after nearly an entire life of no other thought than that of what happens in front of him on a chessboard, Fischer died at the age of 64? Which is of course the number of squares on a chessboard.

Or maybe he became a paranoid psychotic.
The US have nothing to do with Fisher being mad. He was fortunate enough that Iceland granted him citizenship.
Claiming Fisher had his head at the end of his life is an insult to genius he has been.

Yes I understand that, but there is a difference from having a outburst here and there and having a weird tendency compared to Bobby Fischer's delusions, I mean at the end of his life he was nothing more than a paranoid schizophrenic that needed to be kept away from the world around him. If you look at some of the conversations he had with people, a lot of the time is about how bad the jews were, and that alone shows how little was left in his head at the end of his life.

If you look at all the geniuses not only in chess but classical musicians, Scientistss, great aritist, they all had some sort of weird psychological disorder. Issac Newton, Bethoveen and Albert Einstein sometimes went nuts.
