@waybackmom Hi there, I haven't seen any yet...but with the warmer weather it won't be long! This year I want to try cooking some of the berries with apples for apple pie Yum! If you see the yellow buds that's what comes out first...then watch the tree, it's real beautiful!
Is your spicebush blooming yet. I think we have one in our woods. If not the closest one I have found is 45 minutes away. I can't wait to try the tea.
@winnipegdiver I used to live in Winnipeg MB :) I typed spicebush manitoba canada in my google and see it grows there as well. I suppose if you plant your own you'll need to mulch it well over winter. It says it does survive the winters there.

I have been here 8 yrs now not a bad place
There is a lot of forest for bushcraft, trying to get my 9 yr old in to bushcraft

How would this tree hold up here in Canada in winter I live in Manitoba and it can get down to-50 here
