@maynardcat Hi,thanks for clarification. Wain and Forest are two of my favourite singers, and deserve more recognition.

Bea Wain sang Deep Purple withe Larry Clinton Orchestra.

lovely stuff, what a voice! and i'm 39 years under 60 lol

Thanks for posting! I had a bunch of these when I was around 10 years old
and promptly spoiled them with old fashioned pickups and lousy needles,
we should have CD releases from this label. There was a regular 10" size
version of this label. Anyone know anything about it? About the same time
as these, which had 45 rpm equivalents,

Oops, sorry. Should have checked the suggestions before posting my comment. There is one with Bea.
When was Helen with Clinton? It must have been very early in her career?

I haven't heard "My Reverie" by Larry Clinton in almost thirty-five years. And, I could have sworn the record I remember had Bea Wayne on vocal. Did both Bea and Helen record this with Clinton? It would seem so from fgonzalez's comment...

All three women sing it beautifully according to their own personal style..Peggy Mann, Bea Wein and of course Helen...thanks for sharing and the clip

You're probably under 60. That's why.
I don't like this version,prefer Bea Wain's,with same orchestra.
I wasn't aware that Helen sang with The Clinton Orchestra, until now, that is.

@MOGGS1942 The older versions by Larry Clinton with Peggy Mann and Bea Wain singing I also like better, but they are 1930's recordings and this is a 1954 version by Helen Forest. She actually didn't sing with the Clinton orch this was just a special arrangement by Bell records in 1954. The only other recording that I am aware of by Helen Forrest singing this song was in 1949 with the Carmen Dragon & Ray Bloch Orchestras. .
