  • This amount of carbs will Definitely spike your blood sugar (and your insulin) if your sensitive at all...

  • @philmoskowitz fuck atkins

  • @philmoskowitz Technically 15 grams of carbs is not too high for the Atkins diet as a whole. It is only high for the induction phase of the Atkins diet, which requires that one stay below 20 grams of net carbs. Atkins allows the person to progressively increase their carbs every week after the 2 week induction phase, as long as weight loss continues, and allows for even further increases in net carbs to maintain weight. This allowance varies from person to person.

-soy flour.. why didn't i think of that??!

  • This is 2011 and there are still people who believe that saturated fat is bad for you? People have reversed heart disease and improved diabetes with low carb high fat diets. I overcame metabolic syndrome myself. I don't have one marker for it left.

  • @legggggggggy I am diabetic and have spent much of the past year going through scientific literature. Seven months ago I weighed 220 lbs, my bp was 160+, and my bg ranged from 66-266 in a day. After going low carb, high protein, high fat, I now weigh 152 lbs, my bp is 110+, and my bg is typically 85-100, normal range. If you can demonstrate similar results from another dietary regime I'd be happy to listen. Meanwhile my scale and medical testing devices tell me all I need to know.

  • @gphx Well my dad got diabetes. What did the doctor tell him? Eat very often and stay away from candy and soda water. Dont eat too big portions, but stay with many small ones. Always carry some fruit with you and some other food if possible to control your insulin levels. Except from that I got an education in diet. Its not healthy in the long run to get all your energy from protein and fat. Your body actually need carbs to absorb vitamins and protein better. I know what I am talking about.
