One step closer to the holodeck

What is this game? :D

This would look awesome in an all white round room
-
lol it's like a hologram

dude you should get professional grade materials and have this attached to like a helmet and patent it! It can be a serious money maker! I would most definitely buy it.

technologically apreciate this vid, psychiatrically looks like a bad idea lmao

If you recorded this with a 3d camera and put mirrors on all sides of the room then tagged this video as youtube 3d, people watching this on a nintendo 3ds or 3d tv would most likely travel through time.
In all seriousness great work man. Do you think a wii remote or something could be mounted to a laptop or something like that for a bigger variety of games?
Can you play all games thru the projector? I can't get anything to show on the pico other than youtube videos. I'd like to be able to play games and read emails, etc on the projected image. Help! Does the iphone/ipod need to be jailbroken?

@ChiroAY Yes, iphone needs to be jailbroken to use 3rd party video out for gaming. Jailbreak not needed, though, for many of the newer Droid phones! And any gaming works well, especially ones which don't have tiny controls to push (that requires looking down at your hands).

Have you tried rigging a cylindrical environment to play in? Seems like it would be pretty easy if you had an empty room and a couple of white bedsheets to hang from the ceiling.

@gfunkusarelius I think a 12-15 feet diameter room would be killer. A round room would be great, but now that I've played this awhile, it's not really necessary. Once a player gets engrossed in the game, any 360 shaped room will do!

@SniperFish959 Sky Siege! Hopefully, this video will inspire the development of more games. First person compass enabled games for mobile devices are a very rare breed right now.
