When i was in town, i saw one of the refuse men. now ive known this guys since i was 3.( once again im only 14 as my dad made my account so please read this first) hes also used 158 since i was 4. i asked him how 158 was going and he broke the awefull news to me. he said that 158 might be retiring after christmas. so i thought that 158 deserves a dedication. she was and still is they only truck that i really enjoy watching. however i do like alot of our new rigs as well

  • It's really nice to see a dedication to a bin wagon dude. Well done. 10 years is going some, the reccomended lifespan of a refuse vehicle is 5-7 years. Ours are 06 reg, due to be replaced in 13. 7 years. if you see her again, give her a pat from a fellow binman in the UK.

  • @djzee1000 cheers mate but i must break the news that she is already gone. she was overturned during the snow, no one was hurt except 158. check out my recent 158 end of an era video for more information on that

she was only a couple of months off her 12th birthday (S reg= 1998 and she was overturned in the early stages of spring 2010.)

  • Cargopak is amazing - as it comes from the same company that did the Revopak design I wouldn't expect anything else. The French sure know how to strap a dustcart together!

  • thank you. the french might drive on the wrong side of the road by they make good trucks!

  • i really appreciate the service 158 has done. if she does retire for good, then i say farewell to her and she deserves respect for the hard work she has done

  • 158 has got another new crew! shes taken 161s job!

thats a shame dude, but hey, both yourself and the blokes that worked with her will no doubt have fond memories. It's surprising how close you can get to a vehical you work on day after day...

  • @Kevin36097 no offence ment by the wrong sifde of the road joke. i picked it up from my road trip to the battlefields of france with my dad and his mate 5 years ago

  • thank you very much. but 158 isnt going easy. infact i saw her this morning with her new driver. he picks up missed bins. thanks again for the wonderfull stuff you said. both 158 and me appreciate it

  • did u read in the sun that focsa wont pick up bins left on gravel incase the stones get stuck in the wheels and cause it to topple over onto the man
