Sport compacts have it hard. Cars like the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX and the 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 — along with competitors like the Honda Civic Si, Mini Cooper S and Volkswagen GTI — are expected to do mutually contradictory things with something approaching perfection. They're supposed to be quick but economical; athletic but comfortable; sporty but practical. Oh yeah, and they can't cost a lot.

Go ahead and dream the impossible dream.

The body roll on the WRX is ridiculous, at least the Mazdaspeed3 didn't look like a Camry taking a corner

whoever drives for your testing needs driver mod. both cars are 1/2 second faster realistically

08-09 worst impreza ever made. makes me throw up. i will never buy a impreza that year. the 07 speed is awesome the newer speeds are gross to

@ksmuffin Fucking love it. I really have nothing bad to say about it EXCEPT its not AWD. Which is the only negative thing I've heard about it from anyone. I get in the mid 20s as far as city mpgs goes (provided I stay out of the turbo). And I get a bit over 30 on the hwy. As far as availability goes, I was looking like 300+ miles away and one just happened to show up at my local dealer. They didnt even know it was coming so I kinda lucked out.

@RayDanger2020 So how are you liking the car so far? and how's the mileage treating you? I wanted one really badly, but it's just not very practical for me right now(and they're not available in my area). I settled for a 3i Touring which I've been having a lot of fun with.

They're both fun cars. I sell Mazdas actually but a few of my friends have modified bugeyes and they are exhilarating to drive. I think the point you guys are missing is that this video is designed for your average consumer, someone who wants a fast and fun DD and the best bang for their buck. Cause let's face it guys, at the end of the day, it's all about money.
