Liquitex FlowAid available through www.awesomepaintjob.com TOOLS section. Just a little tutorial on making washes for quick and simple weathering of steel and brass elements. This works great when doing a whole army. Have fun!

  • wht do you mean by alchol, just basic vodka ?

  • @etc597 I don't use acrylics much but dry brushing to me always meant getting paint on the brush but very little by rubbing the brush or stipling paper or card with it till there was only a residue on the brush which can pick-out the raised highlights of a model.

  • One question... Why is the flow aid necessary? What if we made washes with only distilled water? Also, was the flow aid you added already mixed with water? what ratio? In your other video you filled a bottle with 8 oz of water and 2 more ounces of flow aid. Is that what you did here?

  • Les, Please post more general application videos like this that can be applied to any project. Yours are the best! How about some extended wash, wet mixing or dry brush techniques? As far as procedure and brush stroke and so on?

  • great video... im more into military vehicles but this video giving me the idea bout weathering... thanks...

  • Hi Les, really been enjoying your vids since discovering your channel - thanks for making them! My question is; what can I use instead of alcohol since i'm in the UK and I don't know where you can buy neat alcohol here - what kind of alcohol is it?
