Harper Woods Boy Drowns In Detroit Pool

DETROIT-- It was just after 3:00 pm on July 10th when people attending a pool party on Kelly Road in Detroit became frantic. Some time had past since the last time anyone saw 11 year old Robert Stewart, a Harper Woods resident. Initially, it was thought that he may have left the pool area and was somewhere in the neighborhood but sadly people's worst fears became reality. Robert Stewart was lifeless at the bottom of the pool.

Detroit Chief Of Police; Ralph Godbee came to the scene and said it appears to have been an accident. "It appears there were other children in and out of the pool, adults in and out of the area but I don't want to speculate too much".

The pool is owned by Life Builders, a faith based organization.
