The GRIGRI 2 belay device with assisted braking works equally well for lead climbing and top roping. It may be used on all single dynamic 8.9 to 11 mm ropes on the market.

    No the GRIGRI has been made for a single rope. The REVERSO is more adapted to twin ropes. Best regards

    Petzl recalls only GRIGRI 2’s with the first five digits of the serial number between 10326 and 11136, and replace with a new revised GRIGRI 2.

    To Petzl: hello, Can You tell me please, why should I buy this product if I already got Reverso 4 for belay? what is the advantage of using grigri2 over reverso besides it autoblocks during a fall (or at least it should have)? So what are the pros of using grigri2 over the atc hen it comes to the single rope belaying?
