Shawn shows us the Recompute PC from Sustainable Computers. It's a full blown workstation that you could use to start a camp fire. We don't recommend the camp fire part though.

  • This is just plain stupid. There is absolutely no point in getting this thing. Case is usually the easiest part of your computer to recycle, and it's also the least changed part of your PC.

So it's for people who heard recycling is cool and they don't think about it at all. You know what this case will cause? It will actually harm your beloved Earth even MORE, because of the poor stability for HDDs, which you will have to replace more often.

Hopefully you at least got some money for this ad.

  • I lmaoed at 1:40 when he said: "Its not the case". HEHE

  • a pc case made specifically for tree-huggers. lol

  • sooo basically your computer is the box my laptop came in..... amazing.

  • I laughed when you did that "Radioactive!" thing lol

  • Question is; Can you upgrade it?

  • This thing belongs at Starbucks (and B&N)

    lol this is their style

  • @lshareknowledge a metal case is not just a ground plane but also a Faraday cage (EMI shielding)

  • Wait, so tearing apart the each case is a real pain with a traditional computer but this thing just falls apart on it's own? What's so hard about taking out a few screws?

  • wow. Imagine if this computer doesn't get recycled properly the case will simply decompose. One would hope that the components would get properly tossed as e-waste.

  • Poor trolling.

  • The way I understand it, a metal computer case helps ground all of the sensitive computer components from things like ESD. This is why a computers made with plastic standoffs (instead of brass), or cases made out of some type of plastic (such as acrylic) in general have a much higher rate of hardware failure. Go metal cases.
