Rigs of rods Railways: Class 58

Me and Miura have been working on railways for Rigs of Rods over the last couple of weeks. The video here shows the result of our work. The truck file and the track on NSH are Miura's; the mesh attachments and the smoother track on flatmap are mine.

The train is actually very stable : The jumps in the video were mostly caused by overstrong brakes. What's probably most important is to get the entrances and exits to the curves on the tracks nice and smooth. There's a mixture of both smooth and non-smooth corners on my test track, and there is a noticable lurch when there is no smooth transition between corner types.

(For the people who are less interested in trains, think of this as the first step to RoRollerCoasters) ;)

Wow! That's excellent! Just a second ago, I posted a comment that somebody should use ROR to make a train sim. Microsoft gave up on MSTS version 2. You just need to make the train track more realistic looking, and maybe add some different types of trains, like the Eurostar, TGV, Acela, etc.

The only (minor) complaint I have with ROR is that the maps are too small to travel any serious distance in a plane or train.
