  • I'm not sure who monitors OOE's youtube page, but if its anyone from the band, then i have something to say

Steve - Man, your a fantastic drummer, and i can't believe that you wrote so much great material for Deicide, and no doubt had a hand in writing this album, which i bought off of ebay just before, this is great stuff man, i hope the 2010 effort of Deicide is as great as this

Considering that your a wicked guitar player, pianist and a brutal drummer, i think you've set the stand for DM

  • @TheKvltist Steve doesn't write any material for OOE, but has a hand in some of the arrangements. He did write 7 of the 10 for the new Deicide album though. Jack wrote the others. That album should be done recording September.

  • @OrderOfEnnead001 I was corrected. The solo is using F Lydian and A minor pentatonic.

  • @OrderOfEnnead001

That's really cool to hear, thanks for the heads up :)

Would you be able to tell me what scales and tuning your band uses when they write their music?

Also, i take it you a member of the band? if so, which member are you?

  • @TheKvltist This is Kevin-vocals/guitar. We are tuned to E flat. John does the solos and uses whatever scale needed. I'd say learn the major scale and all 7 positions and be able to play them in any key and harmonic minor.

  • God, I can't wait to open for you guys on the 6th

  • @vaimaster82 We can't wait to play it either. See you soon.

  • This is awesome! I searched you guys because of John Li's Betcha Can't Play This, because I was though that that was pretty good. I had no hopes of finding a good band though.

Totally threw me off, then I read the names; "Holy shit! Deicide!"

Fuck yeah, you guys kick ass!

  • Umm... John Li... You seem to be pretty amazing at the guitar... what the fuck are you doing in this band?

That was the cheesiest video I have ever seen, and oh, it only featured the one good member of the band for 30 seconds.

Move on, Mr. Li, you deserve much better than this pile of shit

  • John needs to be in a prog metal band this instant, and not in a death metal band

  • John Li has them sweeps down!

  • Kevin, what's up bro? Wulf here, from Charleston/Myrtle Beach. Man, it's been a while since we've hung out... I think it was what, the Amon Amarth show in Jacksonville, FL back in '02? Anyway, just wanted to say that OOE is kickin' all sorts of ass man. Keep up the excellent work. Cheers!
