Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly to Johnnie Taylors smooth and easy 1985 ' Good with my hips'.
Taylor was born in 1937 in Arkansas and became known as the 'Philosopher of Soul'. Although he had many hit singles including the 1968 Stax recording 'Who's making love' and the innovative 'Testify'' from later the same year, the great Soul song his voice deserved, eluded him. He died of a heart attack in Dallas aged 63.
