In this lesson of Waku Waku Japanese, Konomi teaches you how to express the weather in Japanese. So next time you're watching the weather forecast, try to remember these words!

Tenki - weather
てんき

Ame - rain
あめ

Kumori - cloudy
くもり

Hare - sunny
はれ

Yuki - snow
ゆき

Atsui - hot
あつい

Samui - cold
さむい

So if it's hot or cold, rain or shine, use these expressions to describe the tenki outside!

  • ^^ that's very helpful, thanks...

i wonder if you can see this, but can you also show the words like Hiragana and Katakana beside the romaji? the truth is i'm learning japanese and it would be very helpful :) and i'm sure a lot of people will find it helpful too :)

  • @VLK1993 Yes, this is something we've been doing with the last few lessons, however this lesson in particular was created many months ago, but we will definitely try to include hiragana and katakana when we can!

  • @s3xyScorp she said 次回も楽しみに(Jikai mo tanoshimi ni ) which means " I'm looking forward until next time"

  • @anoop751 yes , nande alone means "why." Subtitles are never spot on correct but I think you might of heard "nan de" which means "by what means."

  • @7thelordismyshepherd I believe you are trying to say nan desu ka (何ですか) which is a polite way of saying "what is it."
