Am I Alone Chapter 1

Kevins POV
As I slowly looked around, I tried to find traps. Then suddenly, a dart flew right in front of me, missing me by centimeters. I went to check it out. It was poisoned. I ran and felt the winds slashing my face. Out of nowhere, arrows shot from the sky. I was right under it.
Alright Kevin, youre died! Cynthia shouted in a happy voice. In the background I could hear laughter.
This was a solo practice mission. We were practicing for the real missions we will have later on.
Okay Okay, Im died, I said laughing. Now open the door so I can get out.
I waited for the door to reveal itself. Then I stepped out of the practice lab and up the stairs to the overheard box. I went straight to the refrigerator. I grabbed a coke and sat on the leather couch.
Dude, youve got to be more careful, or else youll die on a mission, Nick said worriedly.
Dont worry Nicky, when hes gone youll always have me, Joe joked.
Please, dont leave me! Nick said dramatically kneeling before me.
We stared at each other for a while and bursted out laughing.
Okay Joe, youre turn. Cynthia said still laughing.
Joe got up and made his way down the stairs to the room. As he stepped into our clear view, the door Joe came in from sealed tight and became invisible.
Alright, Im ready! Joe shouted.
Then the graphics and artificial air started. Now in a different setting, Joe started his mission. He was in an alley with tons of people with tasers. Joe fought them. One at a time, they fell down defeated. Then he looked for the hidden stone that would reveal a passage way.

At dinner
We chatted as our servants brought us food. The monitor we have next to us turned on. It showed us the face of our father.
How did the practice go?
A mix of eh, good, it was fine answered my dads question. Then out of nowhere Joe said Except for the fact that Kevin died, again.
I wouldnt be talking if I were you, I said trying to defend myself.
Why? I didnt die, Joe said with an innocent face he put on.
Yeah, this time, I said teasingly.
Shut up, Joe exclaimed blushing.
I half expected my dad to stop us from bickering but he was impressed that Cynthia thought any of this is funny. She was on her chair trying to look like she was giggling, not laughing hysterically. Then Joe made a stupid face out of the blue that sent her laughing like crazy.
Ill give you something to laugh about!
I ran to her and started tickling her like crazy.
Nooo! Cynthia said or more like giggled.
By now, everyone was laughing hysterically until Frankie ran in screaming Nick got kidnapped!
The laughter halted and I had an urge to go and protect my brother, like always. How could we have not even noticed Nick left the room? Joe and I ran out the door and down to the driveway just in time to see Nicks horrified face in the back of the van. We ran after it. I have a tracking device; only if I can get it on the van. I took it out of my pocket and threw it on the van. Joe saw it and pretended to be out of breath and devastated. Nick saw it too and knew hell be okay. I ran a little more to get a clear view of the license plate but the van suddenly turned and it threw me off. When I got my balance back, it was too late. I watched it go sadly.

I was on the computer and trying to find the tracking devices camera. They just stepped out of the van. Somehow, right in front of the camera, they punched and kicked Nick very painfully.
Dont want your baby brother hurt? Come to the old warehouse on South Creek alone.
Then the camera died.
