GoodFellas - censored opening

In order to illustrate a forthcoming lecture on gangster films, I was asked to prepare a clip of the opening sequence of Martin Scorsese's GoodFellas (1990) with all its swearing removed. Instead of the standard obtrusive 'bleeps' that are so often used in censorship I decided to replace the offensive parts of the soundtrack with ambience from elsewhere in the scene. This is the result.

Yes, because the use of a few f-words might not be suitable for a film class, but the sight of someone repeatedly stabbing a moribund, delirious, blood-soaked abductee isn't at all worrying!

Whoever deemed it necessary and permissible to EDIT GOODFELLAS is not fit to teach anything - least of all about gangster films.

Such people are the little helpers who pave the way for the big liars who want to change history itself. Gangsters swear - if you don't like swearing, don't watch gangsters. Pussy-ass safety-nazis that you are.

I find the comments of people treating the violence in this movie as something to laugh about very disturbing. I wonder if any of the people who find scenes of people being stabbed and shot have ever seen anyone stabbed or shot. There is nothing funny about it.
