This is footage of Steve Kelley's stock 2001 4.6 Mustang GT vs Enrique Caro's modified 1993 5.0 Mustang GT at the 1/8 mile track in Arecibo PR shot on June 14, 2008.
These races were just for fun, as it should be.

19mecanico93, you may have been 4 for 4 that day but not by much. Given the fact that the 1993 GT has some extra mods than my stock (except for the BBk CAI) and certainly should have beat my car the modular 4.6 still did very well against a semi modded 5.0 ;o)

Actually my Yellow GT has vertical door hinges.

Many people don't realize it since they can also open normally :o)

How well does the 1999-04 GT hold up stock vs stock too a LT-1 z-28 93-02?

I heard that the 99-04 GT's have air flow issues if you open them up via full exhaust work and intakes they run awhole lot better any truth in that?

Yes, this true startrekfiero, but you have, what 265 HP from the factory vs my 205 HP rating? When I go to Salinas 1/4 mile track, I'll invite you for a full run, maybe you can catch me then. lol.

Hi, I am the red 5.0 GT owner/driver. My best 1/8 is 9.2s @ 80 mph. No tires, so I'm limmited off-the-line, way too much smoke if not careful. We ran 4 times and it was a street start, no timing lights. I'm 4 for 4 this day, lets see what happens on a redo. But like startrekfiero says, it was just for fun.

As for the doors, no the yellow GT has stock doors.

Nice runs guys! Do you have any timeslips of those races? I'm a 2000gt owner and a 4.6 2v supporter so, to the guy in the yellow stang, slap some gears in her and an exhaust, and you'll keep up with the 5.0! Good races.
