Awesome job! Looking forward to having you doing this sort of activism here in New Hampshire!

OK thank you for clearing that up. For some reason I thought this was taking place in NH but now that you mention Tx it makes perfect sense.
I too am no stranger to theft by deception. I foolishly moved to Maine 5 years ago and as you are probably aware we too are robbed, Oops I meant taxed. It is my desire to return to NH as soon as I am able.

@goodnicstken Texas ehy? Make every one in America carry a loaded gun! That would make the police and IRS think twice about pulling theirs out on anyone, wouldn't it?!!! The 'right to defend your life, by any means deemed necessary, at that time'! (English Law of Self-Defense) Just something for the Americans to think about.

All this effort, all that money spent and you still don't have LEGAL title to "your" vehicle...you only have equitable title.
The state holds the Manufacturer's Statement (or Certificate) of Origin, which is the birth certificate/berthing certificate for the car.
Here in Canada, it's called the NVIS document and if you register your vehicle in a Province (yes, the corporation, not the actual place) you are obligated to surrender the LEGAL title.
Too bad we voluntarily pay for the car, too.

Thanks for all the effort of turning audio into video. You can tell the clerk wanted out of there when she yells at the computer. Way to push one bureaucrat one step closer to resignation.

Nicely done.

No worries... unfortunately, most of us are. 8-)
Please forgive me for being ignorant as I am government educated as well but what are/were you transferring ? a Car? and you have to pay sales tax on that ? Does this video take place in NH? If so since when does NH have a sales tax on Motor Vehicles?
I used to live in NH about 5 years ago and never had to pay a sales tax on anything I purchased in the state including motor vehicles.

mainmedic,
I was transferring an auto title in Texas where people are forced to pay sales tax. Because I paid cash for the vehicle, I had to go to the tax office.
Government usually makes theft subtle and has the dealer roll it into the car loan.
The video is really pointing out the way government does business regardless of the service they claim to provide. I'm not in NH yet, but I'm moving soon.

LOL,
Yes, I will get a system down that catches it. Sorry, I'm government educated. :)
