Not only the Chicago crowd, but everyone with a bit of sense will understand that what John McVie does with the bass, is just plain AWESOME!!!

why does the chicago crowd like the bassline of the song?

In about another month or two John Fogerty is coming to Vancouver. I'm an old CCR fan and it would be good to ee him as well.

Go! You will be very please that you did.

And while surely many will miss Songbird, there can be little denying that Stevie and Lindsey's voices blend even more powerfully without Christine's (still love you Christine). It is just chilling when those two sing free of any backing voices. And Stevie's voice having changed seems not to have interfered one bit with Lindsey's power to grab on to it ferociously and have his way, so to speak.

The concise arrangements and the back-to-basics/nuts- and-bolts approach -- these are a big part of what make this tour so special. This was not a pop band putting on a "show" (not that' there's anything wrong with that, as the Seinfeldism goes). It was a rock band, free (or at least comparatively free) of attention mongering, self-congratulation, and egoism. At its best moments, Fleetwood Mac 2009 resembles Fleetwood Mac 1975 (pre-superstardom) more than anything since.

3:16-3:47 may be the solo to remember Lindsey by. A TON of info. And after 3:47? Not your typical rhythm playing behind that singing. Lindsey is more or less playing a guitar solo for the ages while singing harmony vocals ("the chain keep us together" while singing the most intense of lead vocals ("run run run run"). Forget the video. Focus hard on the audio. Special stuff.

I'm 25 and they've always been my fav band, doesn't matter that they've been making music since long before I was born! Their music is timeless. You should definitely try to see them in Vancouver if you don't already have tickets!
Thank you!
It was the best show, that I've seen in a long time. They played 2 great hours.
Row 15 was a little expensive, but worth every pennie. Cheers!!
