Scotto captures the scene outside the final NASA at the SHELTER in NYC, which was also NASA's One Year Anniversary bash on July 23, 1993. NASA was NYC's first successful rave series on Friday nights at this non-alcoholic afterhours club SCOTTO found with the world's best analog sound system, installed by the legendary Larry Levan. THe club was owned by legendary DJ Timmy Regisford and Charels Benanty, who also owns SOUNDWORKS STUDIOS underneath the original STUDIO 54 space that serves artists like MADONNA and JANET JACKSON for past recordings. This footage includes appearances by SCOTTO, a young CHLOE SEVINGY (before she was discovered for the movie "KIDS") DJ DMITRY of DEELITE, MOBY, NIGEL RICHARDS, JUNIOR SANCHEZ, DANNY BOY, DB, ODI, JOE JOE, Rickey of the SHELTER security staff, and about 1000 others! I know the fashion isn't what matters, but GOD it was sooo much cooler back then! Baggy pants, plus size shirts, & sneakers never looked better. Sure, these styles are still around, but I absolutely CRINGE when I see ravers in flip-flops, viser hats, & cargo shorts. And I'm getting sick and tired of going to raves and seeing a bunch of 'Girls Gone Wild' type chicks girating in bikini tops and mini-skirts. And what the hell is up with skinny jeans? I don't understand!

An all-out doc needs to come out about this whole era in NY: the beginnings of STORMrave, Future Shock @ Limelight, NASA, the whole scene that hung out in Washington Square Park, the peak of crazed abandon & loved up vibes, Caffeine on LI, Satellite Records & their raves like Sputnik, Groove Records, Thunderground in Shao-Lin, the Together parties, the shit caused by BTS crew, the depravity of when the scene turned dark & ravers got into harder drugs. PLEASE SOME1 make it!! The material's there!
